# AI Theme Builder — Team Overview

**What it is:** a website redesign — normally a 4–8 week, $5–15k agency
project — compressed into a same-day, AI-assisted pipeline we control
end-to-end. Point it at any website (a client's, or a prospect's you want to
pitch): it crawls the site, redesigns it into multiple distinct concepts
using the site's REAL content, lets the client pick and approve, then
generates an installable WordPress theme with the content migrated and the
SEO protected.

It lives in two places: the **Studio** (joltwp.com/builder — start builds
in the browser, no WordPress needed) and the **JoltWP plugin** on the
destination site (where you apply the result). Same builds, both surfaces.

## The workflow

1. **Brief + consultation.** Enter the URL, fill the design brief (industry,
   vibe, colors, competitors, inspiration URLs/screenshots, target search
   phrases, new pages to add). Then talk it through with the AI design
   director — it studies the actual site, proposes a direction, asks the SEO
   discovery questions (services to rank for, areas served, #1 conversion
   action), and refines with you. **Lock the vision** when it feels right —
   that becomes the binding brief.

2. **Concepts.** Minutes later: ~3 redesign concepts, each a full homepage
   from the client's real content and images, plus an AI-generated on-brand
   hero image. Each concept comes from a different design world (layout
   archetype, fonts, color strategy, header pattern) — and the engine
   remembers what it built for other projects and avoids repeating it.

3. **Client sees it.** One click creates a public **share link**: a walkable
   multi-page demo, before/after slider, print-ready white-labeled proposal
   (our logo, our price), a feedback button, and an **"Approve this design"**
   button. We see opens; approval locks the direction, emails us, and shows
   the client our deposit payment link. *The share link is the closing tool.*

4. **Refinement — the team stays in control.** Click any section and:
   - tell the AI the change (seconds, cheap)
   - reorder with ↑/↓ arrows (free)
   - recolor the concept with color pickers (free)
   - find & replace text site-wide (free)
   - insert a section from our **team library** — verbatim (our exact
     markup, zero AI) or restyled to fit
   - lock typography to fonts **we** choose (any Google Font)

   The AI is the production assistant; the taste is ours.

5. **Delivery.** Pick the winner and generate:
   - a hand-coded WordPress theme: 11 editable ACF section types, blog
     templates, built-in contact form, dark mode, sticky mobile call bar,
     WooCommerce shop when they sell, accessibility built in, child theme
   - an **Elementor template** for teams that prefer it
   - a **content import** — every page as a draft, original words preserved
     verbatim, per-page SEO titles + focus keywords pre-wired into rank
     tracking and the Content Optimizer
   - a **301 redirect map** so rankings survive the migration

   Apply on the destination site with one-click buttons (theme install,
   drafts, redirects — nothing touches the live site until we say so), or
   **push the theme to a private GitHub repo** for the devs.

6. **Compounding assets.** Winning designs become **industry templates**
   (next pitch in that niche starts from a proven foundation, adapted to the
   new brand). Saved sections and font pairings accumulate the same way —
   every job makes the next one faster and cheaper.

## The operations layer (1.66)

- **Pipeline board** — every pitch's sales stage on one table (built →
  shared → opened → approved → delivered → applied), with opens, client
  names, and token spend. In wp-admin and the Studio.
- **Nothing falls through the cracks** — unopened share links trigger one
  nudge email after 3 days; one week after a build goes live, the homepage
  and sampled 301s are re-verified automatically and a report lands in
  your inbox.
- **Signed approvals** — the client types their name to approve; name,
  time, and IP print on the proposal as a lightweight acceptance record.
- **Scale the pitching** — clone any past brief for a new prospect, or
  paste up to 10 prospect URLs and queue the whole batch overnight (token
  guard included). Share links get a 📱 phone-frame mobile view.
- **SEO baked deeper** — grounded FAQ + FAQPage schema when the site has
  none, LocalBusiness JSON-LD from the consultation's locations, and a
  3-post blog starter pack riding the content import. Builds can be
  written in any language; theme images ship WebP-converted.
- **Transparent costs** — every build shows tokens by phase and the
  estimated raw AI cost on the customer's own key.

## Why it's defensible

- **The engine never leaves our server.** Plugin + Studio only submit jobs
  and fetch results — prompts and pipeline are invisible to customers.
- **Pay by tokens.** Customers hold a token wallet (Stripe top-ups); each
  build debits actual usage, on their own AI key. Idle months cost nothing;
  every build carries margin.
- **Anti-sameness by design.** Randomized style seeds, banned AI-default
  fonts, cross-build memory — the tenth site looks as fresh as the first.
